Since its inception in the year 2002, The Gujarat Sarvajanik Welfare trust (GSWT) is engaged in welfare activities in fields of Education, Healthcare and Social Upliftment.
Under Education, the GSWT is committed to provide education to children upto higher secondary level through twelve schools in eight different locations of city of Ahmedabad. Likewise, nursing courses like B.Sc. (Nursing), GNM and ANM are also managed by the GSWT. Career Guidance Programmes, Educational aid to needy students, Refreshment Programmes for teachers etc are few other educational activities conducted by the Trust.
Under Healthcare Programme, Shifa Multispeciality Hospital, Shifa Dialysis Center etc are managed. Needy patients are treated free, either wholly or partially. In support of medical service, costly equipments like CathLab, C.T. Scan machine, X Ray, Sonography Machine etc are also made available in the hospital. The hospital has its own Pathology Laboratory and Chemist Shops.
Under Social Upliftment Programmes, orphans, widows, economically backward families are taken care of. They are assisted either by direct financial support in cash and kind or are guided to be benefitted by different government schemes.
Over and above, these regular activities, the GSWT provide relief to persons affected by natural calamities like earthquake, cyclone, flood, pandemics etc.
